My name is Tim Dominick, I was born in San Diego Ca. back in 1971.
I have been into motorcycles ever since I was a young child. I loved to ride.
But after I graduated high school, I had two boys and got married at a young age.
Let's just say I didn't ride much after that. After about two years of marriage, We got
divorced, and I took my boys and moved up near medford, Oregon, in a very
small town called Rogue River.

For my whole life, i have been a auto technician. I have worked on cars for about
20 years. I loved fixin cars. After many years I finally got a job that paid descently.
I met a girl up here in Oregon, and eventually got married. Her name is Danielle,
and she also has two boys. So between us, we have 4 boys, they are 8-10-14-&16.

Soon after the marriage, We decided to refinance the house and get us all motorcycles.
I figured that it would be a great family sport. So on Christmas of 2004 I surprised all
the kids, wife and myself with brand new dirtbikes. It was great! We started making all kinds
of plans for vacations and trips to the dirt track. Everything was going well...Until.....

On Jan. 30th 2005, About 1-month later, We took the bikes down to the local dirt track.
And I should mention that I got the kids and her 4-strokes, but I had to have a 2-stroke.
At the time it had been a few years since i rode a bike. I dont know what i was thinking
when I got that bike.It was strictly a racing bike with a pipe and everything.Let's just say
"The thing was insanely FAST."

At that time I had ridin it about five times, and I thought I could just start off doing tricks and stuff.
I was going about 50 m.p.h. when I hit a couple of jumps and the throttle stuck. I flew off the first
jump sideways, and when I landed, the the back wheel landed on a rock and kicked out to the right.
And my right hand pulled on the throttle unintentionally. And then i went off the next jump at full speed.
I remember flying through the air, thinking about my family and then my head hit the ground, then my
back, at that point I felt my legs just shut off. When I finally came to a stop, I was yelling for someone to
shut off my bike, because it was still running at full throttle about a 100 yards away.

I knew that I messed myself up, but at first I thought I just broke my pelvis or something.
Then there
was a crowd starting to form around me,My wife and friend came to me and all
I could say was "man i screwed myself up" It was then that I realized that I was paralyzed.
I couldn't move my legs, one leg was going one way and the other was going the other way.
"man I screwed myself up". It took the ambulance about an hour to get to were we were.
After they arrived it took them another hour to get me in the ambulance. I couldn't lay back on
the gurney, my back wouldn't let me. It took them giving me like 7 shots of morphine before
they could move me.

Once in the ambulance, they took me to life flight, and me and my wife flew up to the
Oregon Health & Science University. O.H.S.U. up by Portland Oregon.I dont remember
much after the plane ride, because they put me into a coma for about a month.while they did
my spinal cord surgery. I had shattered my T12 vertabrae, and pieces of it damaged my spinal cord.
they ended up putting 4 metal rods and 8 screws, then took one of my ribs to make a vertabrae out of it.
I spent a total of about 4 months in the hospital after that, they transferred me back to medford,Oregon
i had about 2 months of physical therapy, then they sent me home. I haven't had any treatment since then.
That was back in may or june of 2005. So I am looking forward to getting some therapy and the
stem cell surgery or injections from Dr. ramirez down in Tijuana Mexico. at
THE NEW ANGELES HOSPITAL. I can't wait to raise enough money so that I can go and
recieve the miracles that are going on in Tijuana.

With your help and support I will walk again!!!
